A Chicken Wing
tells no lies
it speaks of truth
that humans hide —
the chicken crossed the road you see,
it gave us hope, to set us free.
the human decided to take its life,
ripped it to pieces with an ancient knife.
the chicken became a symbol of kind
more importantly, lost his mind.
the human embraced the power within
and stole the life of the chick’s kin.
The moral here, if you can see
keep walking forward for you and me.
RUN from the haters, stand tall for yourself,
let your voice speak for itself.
the troubles and toxins in life exist,
resist the limitations move on with a twist.
some of us still see the need for love and care,
navigate the obstacles, be sure to beware.
Stay the course, my friend and you will see
four years fly by like the bird and the bee.
