I May Be Weird.
Weird: of strange or extraordinary character : odd, fantastic
You may know weird as a generalized term describing something unusual, but this word also has older meanings that are more specific. Weird derives from the Old English noun wyrd, essentially meaning “fate.” By the 8th century, the plural wyrde had begun to appear in texts as a gloss for Parcae, the Latin name for the Fates — three goddesses who spun, measured, and cut the thread of life. weird
I May Be Weird.
Maybe it is only me, I do not yet know.
As I age, though, I feel it more.
I never really “fit in” anywhere.
If I am being honest, that is raw truth.
What I mean is- I can play the game.
I can play it really, really well.
You wouldn’t even notice.
But, I “see” things differently.
My perspective has always been “outside of the box”.
I will try to explain.
I Play With Time.
I notice it is fleeting.
I grab it and savor.
I Delve Into Words.
Their flavor and substance.
I hug them and love them.
I Perceive Energy.
I caress its curiousity.
I commiserate with its power.
I Crave Knowledge.
Its function and form is wonderous.
I build libraries in my soul.
I Kiss The Trees.
I whisper with the wind.
I touch the earth with each step.
I Breathe Life’s Fragrance.
I hear ancestral summons.
I know spirit walks among us.
I Sage My Surroundings.
I cleanse my past.
I embrace my mission.
I Evade Toxic Individuals.
Yet, I protest with purpose.
I recognize the worth of mankind.
I Toil With Insecurities.
Yet, embrace my earthly nature.
I experience the fragrance of humanity.
I Taste Life’s Energy.
I render mine to the universe.
I acknowlege my uniqueness.
I Skip Now Through Life.
I realize my design.
I manifest peace.
I Age with Purpose.
I give with grace.
I breathe with thanksgiving.
I May Be Weird.
